Our Story
Why are disasters harsh on the poor?
How can we support them with our technology?
Rainbird + GEO
The name of our company, RainbirdGEO, is derived from the combination of “Rainbird,” a bird that announces rain with its sounds, and “GEO,” which refers to both the Earth and satellites.
Our mission is to create a safe society for everyone by predicting and sharing disasters caused by sudden climate changes. We are developing solutions to inform developing countries, such as those in Southeast Asia, that do not have their own meteorological satellites, and to address issues like floods, wildfires, and water shortages.
Problems we address
Issues
Repeated disasters due to late detection and inefficient dissemination of urgent climate risk information
Needs
Innovative solutions for substantial early warning of the climate risks to the last-mile population
Our Commitment to
Sustainable Development Goals
RainbirdGEO aims to use technology to help communities become more competent in managing climate risks and realize the social impacts associated with the SDGs step by step.
