

On February 26, RainbirdGEO was invited to participate in a climate economy and satellite technology roundtable at the “Climate Economy Grand Transition: Three Major Strategies” announcement event held at the Satellite Center in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province.
This event, led by Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon, outlined a vision for a “climate economy,” focusing on expanding climate industry investments, the complete phase-out of coal power plants, and the establishment of a new Climate Economy Department. It brought together innovative companies and experts in the climate industry and renewable energy sectors.
As a satellite climate-tech company developing early warning solutions for climate risks using satellite technology, RainbirdGEO participated in discussions on utilizing advanced technologies for climate crisis response. In particular, RainbirdGEO’s CSO, Seok-Joon Cho, emphasized the importance of satellite-based climate monitoring and early warning systems and introduced the company’s innovative solutions.
The roundtable was attended by representatives from Hanwha Systems, Lumir, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, and Korea Aerospace University, who exchanged various perspectives on the development of the climate economy and the satellite industry.
