Project Duration: September 2023 – August 2026
Project Description: With support from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), this project aims to develop and implement an early warning algorithm and communication system that can rapidly deliver weather disaster risks and alerts to local communities in five Pacific island nations (Palau, Marshall Islands, Tuvalu, Niue, and the Cook Islands). The project focuses on optimizing the system to suit local conditions, ensuring its long-term sustainability.
Palau Field Survey
Survey Duration: May 8 – May 13, 2023
Survey Results: By engaging with local Palauan residents, we gained valuable insights into the region’s unique characteristics and collected feedback, which played a crucial role in refining and enhancing the overall quality of the project.
